A Travellerspoint blog

The countdown is nearly over

rain

So after six months of planning my trip there are only a few days left before I leave. Well, I say six months of planning but other than the flights I've booked I still don't really know where I'll be going or what I'll be doing, so that should make things interesting. But I think (and hope) I've got all the important things like passports and visas organised.

So, I'm going to be flying to St. Petersburg on Friday. I'll be spending a few days there and then a few days in Moscow before getting the trans-mongolian train to Beijing. I've got a couple of stops on the way, in Siberia and Mongolia, so I should be arriving in China at the end of July. I'll probably be there for about 2 months, then its on to Australia and New Zealand, where I'll be for Christmas and New Year. Then I'm flying to Chile and after that, who knows!
